A True Beauty like a White Stag

According to Wikipedia, "white stag (or white hind for the female) is a white-colored red deer or fallow deer, explained by a condition known as leucism that causes its hair and skin to lose its natural colour. The white deer has played a prominent role in many cultures' mythology.

The colour white has long been associated with purity; and in Celtic culture, the colour also represented the otherworld.[1] In modern society, people have acted to protect the white stag as a vestige of beauty, and the hunting of the white stag has often been met with anger, because of its rare and elusive nature.[8][9]

For early man, the deer represented a valuable resource, providing nourishment, clothing and other accessories; and the deer may have played a role in totemic culture.[1]"

How can an animal that has a defective condition that causes the animal to lose what's natural for playing

a role in its cosmetic appearance, be uniquely beautiful and sought after by people? The above excerpt

explains that it is because of its "rare and elusive nature".

Every single one of us is unique. Our physical appearance is determined by everything from our genetic

disposition shaping our physical appearance to our choices of what to consume in our bodies.

In upcoming posts, I would like to read up on and write about the:

-Cosmetic industry:

-History of cosmetics: Origins why, when , how was it invented.

-Cultures: what cultures still wear makeup, for what purposes

-what role does cosmetics play in our emotional lives as women

    -what ages wear makeup: statistics

(do you think one age population wears it more than the other or is it about the same?)

-what specific cosmetic products change our outward appearance

Personally:

Over the past year, I began decreasing my use of makeup from daily eyeliner and lipstick to only plant based oils (that aren't physically visible) on my face and lips. The reasons I used to apply color makeup was to appear more mature, professional and beautiful.

You, the reader:
